* Do you have experience as a business development person in the life science or
diagnostic area?
* Do you have experience completing deals between your company and other companies for
the purposes of expanding business avenues?
* Do you have business development contacts with next generation sequencing/genomic
companies and/or diagnostic companies?
A small, startup in the Boston area, is developing a breakthrough genomic
instrument/reagent system. The company is searching for a Director of Business
Development to begin the process of talking to potential partners and making the necessary
deals to build the company and the direction of the company.
We are searching for a person that likes beginning stage companies with industry leaders in
the management team and on the board. We are searching for a person with contacts in life
science tool companies (genomic companies, in particular) and diagnostic companies.
Experience:
* MS or PhD and an MBA is preferred
* 10 yrs experience in life science or diagnostic company management
* at least 3 yrs of business development experience with a deal sheet that shows tangible
deals
* Technical expertise in genetic analysis technologies and the continuum of technologies
* Expertise on the companies involved in the genetic analysis market area
* Proven business history and successful business track record
* Rolodex of contacts in life science and/or diagnostic companies
Salary is based on experience; Travel is required; Company is based in the Boston area
