Do you have experience selling mass spectrometry products?
Do you have an interest in selling for a small company with a solid and exciting product?
Do you have strong contacts in the west coast pharmaceuticals, biotechs and universities
mass spec labs?

**Our client is a small company with a very good protein purification instrument/consumable
product and they are searching for an experienced sales person that can turn the Western
territory into a true success.
**The company introduced their product earlier this year and are expanding their sales
organization to cover California (and the west).
**Their instrument is sound and there is a consumable stream with the sale.

***    Customers that have been especially interested in the product are Mass Spec users.
***    They've just scratched the surface of these customers, but their product can be used for
many other applications.

We are searching for a person with a strong mass spec background (you might be a Field
Application Scientist that wants to get into sales)
***    Sales people that have sold chromatography products or protein purification products or
protein sample prep products would be a good match for this company.

Qualifications:
* 5+ years of sales experience based in San Francisco or San Diego or Los Angeles
* BS degree or higher in biochemistry or biology
* Mass Spec customer relationships in pharma/biotech/universities in the California territory
* Professional presentation skills using power point
* Analytical skills used to develop a strong territory plan
* Sales and/or lab experience with protein purification and mass spectrometry (LCMS; HPLC;
protein purification)

Responsibilities:
* Developing the sales territory by finding leads, qualifying and closing sales
* Meeting or exceeding reasonable sales goals in the western territory.
* Based in San Francisco or San Diego or Los Angeles
* Handling the customer experience from lead generation to closing to instrument installation
to follow up
* Provide feedback to internal customers (marketing, R&D, engineering, etc.) in a
professional and productive manner
* Being the professional face of the company

Salary:  $75,000-$80,000 + $50,000 at plan commissions (no cap) + mileage +
computer/phone + good company benefits
Territory:  California and west
