We are searching for an experienced capital equipment sales person to sell a product used in a variety of drug discovery and genomics labs that sells upward of $300K This person must have a proven track record of prospecting and closing sales for high end instrumentation. In addition, this person must be able to work independently, using the company resources effectively. The company is a small, but profitable company (sales are more than $50M) and we are looking for someone that can help build up the Boston area.
The sales person that we are looking for is scientifically competent and can deliver technical presentations (not intensely scientific) to customers. They know that they need to build business while they are continuing to find new customers. They will need to network effectively. Are you this person?
Total compensation is $125-$150K + mileage for car + benefits
Qualifications: * BS degree in life science, chemistry or related scientific field * 5-10 yrs of sales experience selling capital equipment to life science researchers in the Boston territory (some strength in the rolodex) * Professional and able to deliver technical presentations effectively * Proven sales track record in capital equipment sales * Prefers a smaller company to a larger one (meaning that the autonomy and rewards of a small company are more appealing) * Proven success at working independently and efficiently (especially in prospecting and closing)
